recording and performance by Lee Nicklen

Big Easy - by Lee Nicklen
An American sounding orchestral piece originally written and composed for a client's multimedia project. This piece of music has an almost slick-modern upbeat country and western undertone. Think L.A. Orchestra. It would be well suited for a quirky scene in film.

From Three To Four by Lee Nicklen
This short piece of 'orchestral music' was composed by myself for a trailer for a game. The music is rather quirky and full of colour. Everything you hear is played 'as live' and pretty much unrehearsed. All was recorded on the fly - with each multi-tracked sequence being played 'as-live' using my much loved and well used Fatar Studio 900 mother keyboard along with Steinberg's Cubase/VST and much of the sound coming from Tascam's Giga Studio and Native Instrument's Kontakt as the source for most, if not all, of the sound you hear.
